Senior Prom

A Senior Inaugural Ball

Who says the kids get to have all the fun? Celebrate Older Americans Month with a real senior prom!  This social event, for Delaware County residents age 60 and over, will take place on Saturday, May 12, from 5 – 9 p.m. at the Center for Older Adults, 800 Cheshire Road, Delaware. Volunteers from local high schools will seSenior Prom rve dinner to the older generation. Dancing will follow with live music played by local favorites The Blue Sultans, featuring favorite songs from the 1940s and 1950s.

This elegant event will provide an opportunity for the younger and older generations to dance, mingle and learn from each other, in a festive party atmosphere.  Local historian Brent Carson will act as the event emcee.  The theme for this year’s prom will be “Inaugural Ball.”

Attendees are encouraged to dress in semi-formal to formal attire.  Space is limited and reservations are required. Tickets are $8 per person and must be purchased in advance.  Tickets will be on sale at the Center for Older Adults on three dates: March 12, March 27 and April 11.
